CIC’s Matthew Pepe accompanied several industry associations (GCA, LICA, AGC) on Monday, December 7 to a discussion with Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan (R) at the Senator’s headquarters in Smithtown, LI.
The group discussed the New York State DOT Budget, and urged the senator
to support parity with the MTA budget after the State and Governor Cuomo announced an $8+ Billion boost to the MTA Budget in November.
Historically, the MTA and DOT budgets have been closely aligned, most notably when the Republicans have the majority in the New York State Congress.
The CIC will continue to push for an increased DOT budget and has meetings scheduled with legislators throughout the winter.
